"Traditionally men can be said to be, or are expected to be masculine, strong, aggressive, dominant, rational, and active" - Diana Popova

This is a commercial for a Burger King burger. The men in this video are portrayed as masculine, strong, aggressive, and dominant. At 6 seconds, one man says "and I'm way too hungry to settle for chick food." This line fits the stereotype that males need to eat more food, presumably because they need to be stronger than their female counterparts.
"Men are generally associated with technology, drinking and promiscuity, while women are associated with household chores and shopping, social drinking with friends, and stable sexual commitments"
Diana Popova

This video advertises Swiffer Wet Jet products, claiming that they are a faster cleaning product. The woman is portrayed cleaning the kitchen, a household chore, and finishes with enough time to relax and drink on the porch. At 12 seconds, the video shows the woman about to sit down on the porch, while a man, presumably her husband, is shown and looks to have been relaxing on the porch for some time. This commercial fits the stereotype that women are meant to do household chores.

Marc Jacobs is a world-wide famous fashion brand. But what exactly is the Marc Jacobs company trying to sell with these advertisements? There is no indication of clothing or accessories the brand produces or sells. The only words on the advertisements are the store locations and store website. The company portrays two different approaches for each gender. These type of advertisements give the idea that "sex sells." If companies post attractive people in their ads, then they believe the general public will buy their name brand products.
